At the beginning of Ayah 259, Surah Baqarah, Sheikh Luhaidan seems to mispronounce مَرَّ، it sounds like he says مُرَّ instead. Please have this fixed, JazakAllah Khair

Wa iyyakum. Jazakallah khairan for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. We have carefully reviewed the recitation of Sheikh Luhaidan at the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:259). While it might sound like "Murra" at first listen, he is actually pronouncing it correctly as "Marra." The heavy sound you are hearing is due to the rule of heavy pronunciation on the letter "Ra". Because the Ra has a fathah, it must be pronounced with a full, thick mouth, which can sometimes give the preceding "Mim" a heavier, deeper sound than usual. We truly appreciate your diligence and care for the Book of Allah. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other observations!
