Feature Request: Recite Selected Qur'an Text from Any Android App
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,JazakumAllahu khayran for the excellent work you have been doing with Al Quran. May Allah reward everyone involved and put barakah in this project.I wanted to suggest a small feature which I think could be very useful.Many times while reading Google Search, Gemini, ChatGPT, articles, or other apps, I come across an ayah of the Qur'an. On Android, I can select the Arabic text and get options like Copy, Search, Translate, and Read aloud.It would be really nice if there was an option like “Recite Qur'an” there.For example:Select an ayah → Recite Qur'an → Al Quran recognizes the ayah → plays its recitationSo if I select:إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَthe app could recognize which surah and ayah it is, and then play that ayah with the reciter I have selected, such as Mishary Alafasy.I believe Android has mechanisms such as ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT and EXTRA_PROCESS_TEXT which allow apps to receive text selected from another app. So perhaps Al Quran could appear as an option in the text-selection menu.And if that is not possible directly from the selection menu, even something like:Select → Share → Al Quran → recognize ayah → play recitation would be very useful.I think this would be a beautiful addition to the existing verse-by-verse recitation feature. It would make it much easier to listen to an ayah whenever we come across it outside the Qur'an app.JazakumAllahu khayran again for all your work.
