Suggestions for different apps by GTAF

Assalamu alaikum, Jazak allahu khair for creating these apps. Please keep up the good work! ====== Here are some of the aspects of GTAF that I appreciate: - Apps are highly featured, and comprehensive (such as with the Quran word-by-word, hadith chain comparison) - The features are geared towards "power users", as in it has many detailed information one can read and look into, while having a nice aesthetic, to appeal to both power users like myself but also, people who want a clean simple to use interface - There is a separate app for each topic as opposed to having one giant app that has everything, but has sub-optimal version of each app - Helpful for non-arabic speakers, as each application as the arabic as well as the translation ====== Some suggestions for new/current apps: Two apps from other developers that have many of the same design principles as GTAF are: - Sunnah Helper (Android and iOS) - Qiblah Map Compass (Android) - eTasbih (Android only) - Quran Progress It would be great if GTAF could make apps that have this functionality and/or expand upon them! I would also appreciate if the salah app can be translated into english (currently it is in bangla only). I personally feel that the prayer times and adhkar for each prayer position may be able to be separated into two apps. This way you can put much more than just how to pray, but also other things such as how to do wudu, and other basic rules/practices in Islam (without getting too detailed into fiqh, as this is better learned with a qualified teacher or from authentic lectures). So one idea is to create a sunnah app, with notifications for salah but also other deeds like in sunnah helper. This app would also have the Qiblah, including being able to see the Qiblah in the sattelite view with the GPS location. Too often the compass is not accurate in many phones, but using the sattelite map gives you a guarantee in shaa Allah of finding the right direciton by aligning to your surrouding landmarks. ====== Some small fixes you may be able to do: - For the Quran app, it would be useful to be able to search by a word root. Currently the only way to do that is to find a word with a certain root and then search words with the same root. - The arabic search functionality on the Quran app does not work well with mistakes. It would be very interesting if it could be integrated with tarteel or something. (Of course this may not work for you since GTAF makes free apps only). - The last read icon in the seerah app for android is pixelated, I believe it can be fixed in shaa Allah to be more clear like in the other apps form GTAF. - In the seerah app, there is some errors in the english text, for you will see "&amp" in various places. Also there are places were it says Ibrahim [AWS], it would be good if this could be changed with the arabic text. - In the hisn ul-muslim app, some of the audio involves melodious recitation, some involves regular arabic pronunciation (such as in the family category). Some even have both (such as in the food & drink category). It would be nice if they could be consistent, meaning the regular adhkar be read in a normal voice without melody and the Quran ayahs be read melodiously, etc. - In your hisnul muslim app, there are certain categories such as the Quranic Duas, Gratitude and repentance, etc. which is section 133+ in the all duas tab. Some of these ayah cannot really be understood without context (especially in the gratitude and repentance section), and these are not actually part of the original hisnul muslim book. This is up you, but it may be more precise to put these in a separate section, so the original hisn ul-muslim is preserved authentically, but you also have the opportunity to include extra adhkar like these Quranic dua, as well as other things you may feel are beneficial. - In the hisn ul-muslim app, sections 131 and 132 in the all duas tab appear to have errors (they are incomplete and do not match what I see of hisn ul-muslim in sunnah.com). It may be more accurate to call the all duas tab as all adhkar, since not everything there is actually a dua. ====== Feel free to contact me for suggestions. I have other suggestions and various ideas for islamic apps as well! Thanks and regards, - Shahir
