Lets make the digital version of the first masjid that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ made at Madinah - this time it is a globally connecting project!
An app that would populate all masajid all around the globe but with additional user features:
  • GIS mapped locations using google maps
  • User ratings for ambient cleanliness
  • wudu facilities, user ratings
  • ghusl facilities, user ratings
  • masjid operator could use the app to raise funding for operating costs
  • masjid operator can show the breakdown of where donations go (utilities, cleaning, salary etc)
  • bayan timings
  • educational programme timings
  • masjid contact for islamic services
  • e version of the masjid's community information board
  • Needs of masajid in regions which do not have them, or upgrades required to existing ones. Then we can link to gofundme type of crowdfunding platforms (existing or new) so that we can have the global muslim community connected across the continents.
This app can also morph into a social app for masjid going muslims specifically and attract others as well, oriented around their local masajid, wherever they may be and wherever they may migrate or travel to. The endless prospects of this has me excited enough!
Lets build this repository of the nerve centre of every muslim community.
