More Simple Design

Assalamu alaikum.. What if users can hide the features like "Last Read" & "Quick Links" in the top of the application? It would look a lot more cleaner and simpler. Also the lower thingy on the screen where the users can switch to other features of the application. Perhaps if it could be hidden that would be simpler and more minimalistic design. Thank you for the application.
