As-salāmu ʿalaikum wa rahmatullah,
Sorry for the late reply, hope you are doing well.
The word "Najm" is used with two meanings:
1- Stars
2- Vegetation of a kind without a trunk, stalk, or stem.
There is a difference of opinion among the Mufassirin regarding which meaning is intended here.
According to many, the second meaning applies in this context, and the translation has been done accordingly.
